Experience two contrasting sides of Panama on one flexible self-drive journey. Begin with two nights in vibrant Panama City, where your rental car gives you the freedom to discover the Panama Canal, Casco Viejo, the Amador Causeway and other highlights at your own pace.
Then drive to Playa Blanca or Playa Bonita, a peaceful Pacific-coast retreat surrounded by tropical scenery yet conveniently located near the capital. Spend three relaxing nights enjoying the beach, your hotel’s facilities and beautiful ocean views, or use your rental car to explore more of the surrounding area.

Days 1–3
After arriving at Tocumen International Airport, collect your rental car from the designated rental station and drive to your selected hotel in Panama City.
The remainder of your arrival day is free. Depending on your arrival time, take a first drive along Avenida Balboa and the Cinta Costera or enjoy dinner in atmospheric Casco Viejo.
On Day 2, explore Panama City and its surroundings at your own pace. Visit the Miraflores Locks at the Panama Canal, discover the historic streets and plazas of Casco Viejo, see the colourful Biomuseo or drive along the Amador Causeway for panoramic views of the city and the Pacific entrance to the canal.

Rental-car requirements
The principal driver must present a valid driving licence, passport and credit card in their own name. A security deposit or card authorisation may be required.
Taboga Island
The rental car cannot be taken to Taboga Island. It must remain parked on the mainland; parking costs and parking security are not included or guaranteed.
Ferry schedule
Ferry times are subject to change, weather and availability. Confirm the current schedule in advance and arrive at the terminal early enough for check-in.
Departure timing
Allow ample time for the ferry crossing, possible delays, the drive to the airport and vehicle return. For an early flight, an additional final night in Panama City is strongly recommended.
